Description
Features two performers and piano, with songs by Friedrich Hollaender and Hanns Eisler, masters of Weimar-era satire. Blending music, personal testimony, and political reflection, the work follows the migration stories of Anastasia Weinmar and Ilja Khodyrev. Moving between humour and gravity, it explores displacement, memory, and survival, with Germany serving as both a refuge and the backdrop for a story of beginning again while carrying the weight of history.
Anastasia Weinmar won Best Performance at the Albamono International Monodrama Festival (2017). Ilja Khodyrev was nominated for Best Male Actor at the Urban Theatre of St. Petersburg (2019).

This performance is in German and Russian with English subtitles. It includes references to forced displacement, political exile, the collapse of the Soviet Union, and the Russia–Ukraine war (presented without dramatization). It also addresses political repression, loss, identity, and cultural belonging.
