Time in Two

This work is brought to life by Rita Spirit, Creator/Performer, and Ganna Martynova and Yevheniia Motorna as performers. All three collaborators, originally from Ukraine, are members of the Born II Boogie crew, bringing a shared creative foundation to the project.

This performance follows Transposition, with a 15-minute transition between the two events. No separate ticket for the first event is required.

Description

Set within a period shaped by constraint, this work begins in resistance to what cannot easily change. As it unfolds, it moves through negotiation and fatigue, where time stretches and fractures. Gradually, the struggle falls away, leaving a quieter encounter with what remains. Through sound and movement, time becomes elastic and uneven, revealing a discovery that emerges not from resolution, but from staying with experience.

Rita was a Featured performer with Exquisite Pressure x Ouro Collective (Vancouver, 2026), a chorus performer in Disney film productions (Vancouver, 2025), and a stage production dancer in Earthling Exercise with Riksteatern (Stockholm, 2022).
